If you're new to the gas industry, the Managed Learning Programme provides a structured route to develop the knowledge, practical skills and workplace experience required to begin your career in domestic gas engineering.
Follow the pathway below from centre-based training and practical workshop experience through to supervised workplace evidence, ACS Initial Assessments and progression towards Gas Safe registration.

Begin Your Managed Learning Programme
LCL Awards Level 3 Gas Engineering Managed Learning Programme
If you're entering the gas industry as a new entrant, the Managed Learning Programme provides the structured training route that begins your journey towards domestic gas engineering.
The programme combines technical learning, practical workshop training and supervised workplace experience, helping you develop the knowledge and competence required before progressing to the relevant assessment stages.

Complete Your Centre-Based Training
43 Days of Technical & Practical Training
Attend 43 days of centre-based training at Kelly Energy Training, delivered over two days each week. You'll develop the technical knowledge and practical understanding needed to work safely within domestic gas engineering.
Next: Put your knowledge into practice through hands-on workshop training.
Step 3 of 7
Develop Your Practical Gas Skills
Hands-On Workshop Training
Put your technical knowledge into practice in our dedicated gas training workshops, developing hands-on skills across key areas of domestic gas engineering.
Next: Take your developing skills into a supervised workplace environment.

Gain Supervised Workplace Experience
Apply Your Skills in a Real Working Environment
Develop your competence through supervised workplace experience, putting the knowledge and practical skills gained during your training into practice on real domestic gas work.
Next: Record your workplace experience and build your Gas Work Log.

Build Your Gas Work Log
Complete Your Portfolio of Workplace Evidence
As you gain supervised workplace experience, you'll build your Gas Work Log by recording evidence of the gas work and activities you complete in a real working environment.
Next: Once your required training and workplace evidence are complete, progress to your Initial ACS Assessments.

Complete Your Initial ACS Assessments
Demonstrate Your Gas Knowledge & Practical Competence
Once your required training and workplace evidence have been completed, you'll progress to your Initial ACS Assessments, where your gas knowledge and practical competence are formally assessed.
